The District Administration, N&M Andaman celebrated 78th Independence Day in collaboration with other line Departments with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor in North & Middle Andaman District. At District Headquarter, Shri Dilkhush Meena, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, North & Middle Andaman hoisted the National Flag at Netaji Sports Complex, Mayabunder. The chief guest in his address outlined the achievements of various Departments of Administration and appreciated their efforts for bringing changes in the lives of the people and urged them to co-operate with each other in the pursuit of the public interest. Total 34 persons /GPs from various Departments/fields were felicitated with Commendation Certificate by the Deputy Commissioner. After hoisting the National Flag the chief guest visited Dr. R.P. Hospital and District Correctional Home, Mayabunder and interacted with the patients, doctors and inmates and distributed sweets, a press release from DC, N&MA said.
