The Andaman Association of Tour Operators (AATO) proudly celebrated India’s 78th Independence Day with a flag hoisting ceremony at the picturesque Corbyn’s Cove Beach on August 15, 2024. The event was marked by a deep sense of patriotism and unity among the members of AATO and other tourism stakeholders.
The National Flag was hoisted by Shri M. Vinod, President of AATO, in the presence of esteemed members of the association and various local tourism stakeholders. In his address, Shri M. Vinod emphasized the importance of unity and dedication to the nation, especially in a region as unique and vital to India’s tourism landscape as the Andaman Islands.
Speaking on the occasion, Shri M. Vinod highlighted the role of the tourism sector in contributing to the growth and development of the Andaman Islands and reiterated AATO’s commitment to promoting sustainable and responsible tourism.
The celebration was well-attended by AATO members, local residents, and tourists who had gathered to witness the event. The atmosphere was filled with patriotic fervor, and the participants expressed their love for the country by joining in the singing of the National Anthem and other patriotic songs.
Following the flag hoisting ceremony, a short cultural program was organized, showcasing the rich cultural heritage of the Andaman Islands. The event concluded with a pledge to continue working towards the prosperity of the nation and the sustainable development of the Andaman Islands.
