The ANC (Andaman and Nicobar Command) biking and trekking team was warmly welcomed today at Raman Bagija Beach by the Indian Coast Guard Station Mayabunder, alongside representatives from the Andaman Police Department, local administration, and the Forest Department. The reception took place at 1600 hours, marking a significant moment in the team’s ongoing expedition, which began in Port Blair on August 10th.
Promoting Patriotism and Unity The expedition is part of the broader “Har Ghar Tiranga” initiative, which aims to foster patriotism and unity in the lead-up to India’s 78th Independence Day. Throughout their journey, the team has engaged in flag distribution and hoisting ceremonies at various schools and Gram Panchayats across Middle Andaman, spreading the powerful message “Swaraj is my birthright” and paying homage to the nation’s freedom fighters.
Upcoming Events and Community Engagement Led by Captain Hritik Diwedi of the Indian Army, the team is composed of officers and personnel from the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Coast Guard, demonstrating the collaborative spirit of the ANC. The team is scheduled to depart from Rangat on August 13th, heading towards the Indian Coast Guard Station Mayabunder. A series of events are planned during their stay, including a bike rally, visits to educational institutions, a plantation drive, and beach clean-up activities, all aimed at engaging the community and promoting environmental awareness.
Next Destination: INS Kohassa Following the conclusion of their activities at the Coast Guard Station Mayabunder, the team will continue their journey to INS Kohassa on August 14th. This expedition not only celebrates India’s independence but also underscores the importance of national unity, environmental stewardship, and the enduring legacy of the country’s freedom fighters.
The biking and trekking team’s efforts have been met with enthusiasm and support from the local communities, further amplifying the spirit of independence and national pride as the nation approaches this significant milestone.
