Port Blair, July 26, 2024:
For the first time, a private institute in Port Blair has selected 15 students for an educational tour in Delhi. The students of the Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT) from DPMI, Port Blair, have returned to their hometown after a fulfilling four-day educational tour.

The choice of Delhi for this tour was significant, as the head office of DPMI is located in New Ashok Nagar, Delhi. This provided the students an excellent opportunity to connect with the main campus and experience a broader educational environment.

Upon arrival at DPMI, Delhi, the students were greeted with a grand welcome. They were introduced to each faculty member and various sections of the university. The students attended practical classes across five different subjects, gaining hands-on experience and practical knowledge. One of the highlights of the tour was the CPR training conducted by experts, where students received valuable hands-on training.

In recognition of their talent and dedication, the students were awarded for their achievements during the tour. Another memorable moment was the meeting with the Honorable Shri Jyotiraditya Scindia, Union Minister of Communication and Development, and Minister of North East India, at his residence in New Delhi. This interaction provided the students with insights and inspiration from a prominent national leader.

The tour also included visits to iconic landmarks such as Rashtrapati Bhavan and India Gate, and the innovative Waste to Wonder Park. These visits enriched the students’ understanding of India’s heritage, governance, and environmental innovation.

The students expressed immense happiness and satisfaction upon returning from the tour. They felt that the experience significantly enhanced their knowledge of their subjects and provided them with valuable practical exposure and experience.

The educational tour to Delhi has been a milestone for DPMI, Port Blair, and its students, marking the beginning of many such opportunities aimed at broadening the horizons of education and practical learning.
