The National General Secretary Shri. Ravindre Himte and Shri. Ganesh Mishra, National Sah Sangathan Mantri was on a visit to Andaman & Nicobar Islands since 11th Jan. 2025 for the conduct of Triennial Conference of Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh.
On 14th Jan. 2025 a meeting was held with Shri. Ravindre Himte and Shri. Ganesh Mishra in the office of Andaman Nicobar Rajya Karmachari Mahasangh (ANRKM), Dollygunj in presence of State General Secretary, BMS Shri. Sunil Ghosh and Shri. Jaydeep Kumar Dey, President, ANRKM and other office bearers.
The General Secretary Shri. S. Biju Pillai welcomed the National Leaders and introduced all present members of affiliated associations. Shri. Vijay Kumar, Vice President presented the current scenario of DRMs / Contract employees under the UT Administration and autonomous bodies.
Shri. Jaydeep Kumar Dey briefly conveyed the matter taken up with the respective Ministries and requested to take up the same from the end of National General Secretary, BMS. Accordingly, the matter concerned with Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Ministry of Ports & Shipping and Ministry of Urban and Poverty Alleviation in respect to Health Department, National Health Mission, Andaman Lakshadweep Harbour Works, Central Public Works Department and Sri Vijayapuram Municipal Council.
Shri. S. Biju Pillai requested the National General Secretary to take up the matter of granting Hard Area Allowance to all employees of entire Union Territory, currently it is applicable only in Nicobar District. Similarly, it was also presented that the grant of Hard Area Allowance shall be alongwith the Special Compensatory Allowance. Secondly, it was stated that due to demographic conditions and mode of transport, it was requested to enhance the Special Casual Leave for Association activities to 30 days for Andaman & Nicobar Islands. Shri. Ravindre Himte assured to take up the matter with Dr. Jitender Singh, MoS (DoPT).
A memento was presented to Shri. Ravindre Himte and Shri. Ganesh Mishra by all members of Andaman Nicobar Rajya Karmachari Mahasangh.
