Six-Month Basic Forestry Induction Training for Forest Guards Commences at Forest Training Institute, Wimberlygunj

Port Blair, 20 August 2024:

Six months basic induction training in Forestry for Forest Guard got underway with the course inaugural function held at Forest Training Institute, Wimberlygunj on Aug. 16.

The inaugural function was attended by Principal Chief Conservator of Forest, (ANI) and Chief Wildlife Warden (ANI), Shri Sanjay Kumar Sinha IFS, as chief guest & Shri Ravi Horo, IFS, Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forest (P&D) as guest of honour. The function was held in the presence of Shri Sanjay K. Waradkar, IFS, (R&WP), Chairperson, FTI & other Senior Officers of the Department.

In his address, the chief guest encouraged & motivated the newly recruited Forest Guard trainees to take up the training with enthusiasm & learn basic concept of Forest and Wildlife. Senior Officers of the Department also spoke on the occasion and motivated the trainees. Trainees’ introduction and experience sharing by the trainees were the main attraction. The Director, Forest Training Institute, Shri A.C. Tilak, ACF welcome the gathering while Shri Raju Rathore, Instructor proposed vote of thanks.
