In a move aimed at providing much-needed financial relief and support to a distressed family, the Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman has sanctioned an ex-gratia relief payment to Smti Sarita Sharma, a resident of Bambooflat. This financial assistance has been granted in response to the severe damage caused to her house due to a tree falling. The financial assistance will be utilized to address the immediate repair needs and to alleviate the financial burden faced by the family during this challenging time. The financial assistance falls under the purview of the NDRF/SDRF norms and is intended to provide immediate relief and support to help individuals affected by natural disasters.
