Three Apprehended with 2 KGs of Turtle Meat in Wandoor: South Andaman Police Reinforces Commitment to Wildlife Protection

Port Blair, August 19, 2024: In a significant operation highlighting their dedication to wildlife protection, the team of PS Humfrygunj, under the supervision of the Superintendent of Police, South Andaman District, successfully apprehended three individuals in possession of 2 kilograms of turtle meat in Wandoor.

The operation took place on August 19, 2024, as part of ongoing efforts to enforce the law and protect endangered species in the region. The recovered turtle meat was promptly seized under the provisions of the Wild Life Protection Act, 1972.
